Almost a year in production “Tillerman“, “The Cat Stevens Songbook” Highlights the songs of the legendary Cat Stevens. From his humble beginnings in London to the world renowned star that he has become today. “Tillerman” takes you on a journey through all Cat Stevens music exploring all the wonders and emotions that each of the songs bring. From the thoughts and imagery of “Sad Lisa” to the hope and love of “Peace Train.” We hope that you enjoy this journey as much as we enjoy bringing it to you. The evening will be filled with wonderful musical memories that is sure to touch your heart.
“Tillerman the show” is the brain child of producer guitarist and singer Michael Prizeman. Who, along with; drummer Errol, keyboardist Bob, guitarist Peter and bassist Mark create the core for the stage production “The Cat Stevens Songbook”. The up close and personal concept has now been developed into a concert production for the stage. The show features all the hits from the legendary Cat Stevens. It covers his early years in the 60’s through to the albums that he released in the 70’s. The show will take you on a journey as images appear on the screen evoking memories and all the while as the timeless music brings it all together.
The ten piece Tillerman orchestra is made up from some of Melbourne’s finest musicians and includes additional violins, cello, and trumpets to complete a full sound experience.
